BLUE DIRT SHUTTLES SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID-19

Hero Trail, Mystic Mountain Bike Park, Bright
Mystic Mountain Bike Park, Bright

The public shuttle service run by Blue Dirt Mountain Biking at Mystic Park, Bright has been suspended until further notice due to new health and travel regulations designed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.

We will continue to monitor government advice as it becomes available and will adapt accordingly to any change in circumstanes. However, we do not expect the situation to improve in the near team and believe it could possibly be Spring before we are able to restart the bus service. This decision has not been made lightly, and while it brings us much short-term pain and hurdles to overcome - particularly for the awesome staff affected - we take solace in knowing that this decision is for the greater good and could save lives.

Blue Dirt customers impacted by the suspension can find more information on the Blue Dirt website, including options for refunds or credits.

Trails remain open for locals

Mystic's mountain bike trails, including private vehicle ticket access, remain open for those who live in the area. We believe it is important for our community's moral that locals - many of whom are now out of work - continue to have access to the fresh air, open space and health benefits our mountain bike park can provide in a time of pandemic, uncertainty and unemployment.

For those using the park, please adhere strictly to health advice. Aim to keep 1.5 to 2 metres away from other park users, do not congregate in car parks or block trails, wash your hands before and after visiting, if you need to sneeze do so into your sleeve, and most definitely DO NOT enter the park if you are feeling unwell, have any flu-like symptoms, or have just returned from overseas in the past 14 days.

Postpone travel to Bright

We kindly emplore those from outside the area to take the government's ban on non-essential travel very seriously; please do not visit Bright until government advice changes. An outbreak of COVID-19 in our small town would further devestate the area, which has extremely limited medical resources and an ageing population.

We thank you for your understanding during these very difficult times for us all and we hope to see you all back again in happier days to come. In the meantime, stay well.
